It's all down hill from there.
Earlier in my life this phrase suggested that things would start to deteriorate someday, implying that one must live life to the fullest and climb that proverbial hill with as much joy, vigor and experience as possible. 14 years ago I decided to grab life by the handlebars and see the western U.S. by motorcycle. I set out on the highway seeking adventure with the alacrity to face whatever might come my way. The trip originated in Colorado and crossed Wyoming, Montana, Idaho, Washington, Oregon, California before ending abruptly in Nevada. Along the way I inhaled life on the road with help from friends, family, and complete strangers. I got a peek at the light in life, nature, and in all of us.

The compiled pictures from the trip reminds me of the road traveled and I can't help but reflect on my first 40 years. As I peak over the hill, the downhill looks inviting. I strive to find the flow, navigate the bumps, and enjoy the wind in my thinning hair.
